Your boardwalk stroll continues to Peake's Wharf – Historic Waterfront Merchants, a destination alive with quaint, waterside boutiques, craft shops, restaurants, bars, and cafés. The Charlottetown Marina surrounds Peake's Wharf and tours of the beautiful Charlottetown Harbour depart daily. ![]() There still is much to see! The Boardwalk will end for a short time but the tour continues. Where the boardwalk ends a blue line continues. Follow the blue line and you will explore some of the Victorian mansions of Old Charlottetown. Pass by many of our beautiful Victorian Inns and Beaconsfield Historic House tours are available year-round. You will pick up the boardwalk after departing Beaconsfield and Victoria Park is ahead of you. Enjoy 37 acres of parkland where visitors can swim, play tennis, use the sporting fields, take seaside picnics, or simply take in the spectacular views of the mouth of the Charlottetown Harbour. Your tour ends at Fanningbank located at the east end of the Park. It has been the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor since it was built in 1834. This is the site where the famous picture of the Fathers of Confederation was taken in 1864. ![]() Walking tours with full commentary with the Fathers and Ladies of Confederation are available daily from mid-June until mid-September departing from Founders' Hall. |
